Morocco has real privileges, particularly due to its position at the heart of an energy crossroads. It aspires to move towards research and development of renewable, clean and environmentally friendly energies in order to exploit its assets to the fullest.
Indeed, the Kingdom has significant potential in renewable energies, particularly for solar and wind power, particularly in coastal areas covering 3,500 km .
- Solar: Solar potential illustrated by 3000 hours of sunshine per year and 5 KWh/m2/day of irradiation.
- Wind: Wind potential estimated at 25,000 MW, of which nearly 6,000 MW can be achieved by 2030.
- Small Hydraulics: Significant potential for micro hydraulic power stations: more than 200 exploitable sites .
- Biomass: 9 million hectares of forests.
- Highly developed transit energy infrastructure.
This edition confirms its status as a platform for innovation and exchanges with the participation of 10,000 professionals from the sector. Under the theme “SMART GRID AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, PILLARS OF THE ACCELERATION OF THE ENERGY TRANSITION AND DECARBONIZATION”
